This is just a selection of the photographs I took. They are shown here at
'low resolution' to help the page load faster; I have better versions which can

CHURÍN

Churín is a spa town about 7 hrs by bus from Lima in the foothills of the
Andes.

It is a thriving town aimed more at Peruvian tourists than at 'gringos'.

Two hours soaking in the sulphorous waters is alleged to cure almost
anything.

Less curative but more attractive swimming hole. Water is at 'warm bath'
temperature.

This warm waterfall is called "El Velo de la Novia" (the Bride's
veil). Better when not windy.

Early morning in Churín market.
